“God s out Wisdom free, is plainspoken in Knowledge and Understanding” (Proverbs 2:6 The Message)

The Wisdom of Proverbs, the Wisdom of Scripture, is not derived from people, but Wisdom is God’s gift to us, and, as such, often goes unrecognized. The apostles Paul said:

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written: "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise; the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate" (1 Corinthians 1:18-19).

In Proverbs 3:19-20 we learn that Wisdom was there at the beginning creating with God. In John 1 we learn that in the beginning there was the Word, creating with God. Wisdom, Word, Miracle, all in the beginning—all creating, and all God.
